Friday Night Downtown Community Dinners

These Dinners were a Men’s Ministry initiative that began last summer to meet the needs of people in our community by providing them with a place to eat a hot and nutritious meal and enjoy fellowship. Since the New Year, our dinners at Wellington Square have expanded to every Friday and are now open for all members (men, women, youth) to come out and serve. It is a blessing to our community that we are able to keep this going all summer, but we do need your help! To keep this well-organized, we need you to “sign up” for a particular Friday night(s). Here’s an example from last Friday night of the impact this ministry is having: “One Mom who was offered the extra chocolate milk and strawberries to take home commented that God knew just what she needed before she even asked. Another Mom who went home with some left over meat loaf was so thankful she would have some meat to feed her children as it is something they don’t often have. The people are so thankful that we are going to serve dinners every Friday in the summer as many have grown to depend on this dinner for a healthy meal and fellowship.”
