Our Christmas Response

Chickens for Christmas is a program that buys laying chickens for poor farmers in Sierra Leone. The equivalent of approximately 275 chicks were purchased through WS, with additional purchases being sent directly to CVMC.

Shoeboxes to Wellington Orphanage sent 155 shoeboxes for children of various ages. The container is expected to arrive in February, 2010.

Angel Wings supported 108 Angels this year with gifts and financial assistance. More importantly, we truly made a difference to the lives of our Angels living in our Burlington community. Here’s one note received from a Mom: “The words ‘Thank You’ are not enough to express my deep and heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for your incredible generosity. My two-year old twins and myself have had a difficult year full of change and challenges. But thanks to your love and support, I’m now able to give my babies a Christmas they so deserve. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
