Exciting, eventful weeks ahead…
In many churches the May holiday weekend signals the beginning of a wind-down toward summer. Not this year, and not in this church.
There are many fun and important events coming in the next 6 weeks. The Timothy series continues each week. Are you reading the short letters? Next week focuses on I Timothy 5 (care-giving: an attitude of the heart).
June is full of special events:
June 1st – Teen Confirmation & Communion
June 3rd (Tues) – CONGREGATIONAL MEETING
June 8th – A thank you celebration for Rhonda
June 15th – Father’s Day
June 18th (Wed.) – Concert with Florida Bell Choir
June 22nd – Celebration marking Katie’s 25th year as a minister

Those are all important. The event that will most shape this church in the coming year, and for decades ahead will be the Congregational Meeting, on Tuesday, June 3rd.

This meeting will:
-elect next years leadership team (Board, Trustees, and Presbytery reps)
-approve a draft budget for the coming year
-respond to the recommendations of the Building Committee.
The Building Committee has revised the proposed renovations to match the budget. With $2million pledged, the committee has worked with our architect to provide a plan that…
-adds floor space for education & meetings
-makes the sanctuary flexible for a variety of worship styles
-opens up hallways and a welcome\gathering area
-includes Geo-Thermal heating & cooling
-and more…
All of this without a long-term mortgage.
Details and sketches of this new plan should be available in about a week. Stay tuned.
It’s an exciting time ahead. Please be welcoming God into all our events and decisions. Pray. Read the ‘Letters to Timothy” (again).
