Advent & Christmas Services

People ask me about their Christmas gifts to the church: “How much should I give? What’s appropriate?” The answer has to be custom-made for you. This week there are two opportunities to offer your gift to Christ Jesus. The Christmas envelopes many of you received in the mail really help us meet budget needs. Some of us can give $10 or $20, some can give much more — $100 or $250 (I hope lots will stretch to that.) If we could average $50 through our regular families that would be awesome for our year-end. The other BIG opportunity is Christmas Eve. Our loose offering will go to mission needs beyond this church. The Wellington orphanage in Sierra Leone, Africa, and the Compassion Society, who serve those in need in the Burlington area, will be the recipients of your gift to the baby Jesus. Let our giving to Jesus and others be influenced by the homes we live in, the trips we take, the presents we receive and give. Bless you for your sacrificial generosity … ORVILLE
