I've Been Thinking...

…how painful it is to watch the violence in Gaza and Israel. Both sides proclaiming righteous innocence. Both sides inflicting explosive death. Who started it? Who’s response is fair and proportional? Who knows?
About 15 years ago I gave up watching or listening to the Middle East conflicts. I changed the channel. But I’m back watching again. This time trying to pray through my anxiety, my frustration, my anger, my sadness. God have mercy. Lord have mercy.
One thing my soul is sure of –I am glad that Jesus is my Lord and role model. His teaching and example seem to be the only solution, or else the region will descend into an eternal ‘eye for an eye’, until the whole world is blind.
Please pray for peace.
Please pray with love, for both sides.
