I’VE BEEN THINKING …

… about this week’s Congregational Meeting, Thursday at 7:00pm. I hope you will come. It will be informative and inspiring to be there.
I know that some people view a church meeting like going to the dentist for root canal work. YIKES! Not true here. We’re getting better at these gathered conversations.
We have planned this week’s meeting better than any in my years here. Pick up the ‘handout’ Sunday that gives you a mini financial report, and some details of what we will address during our time Thursday. You will hear the latest reports on the Building project, and what’s coming with the happy chaos of the next 3 months (can we have Valet Parking for April & May while the parking lot is torn apart?) You’ll see the latest financial numbers, and receive a proposal for revisions to our Budget. In all this you’ll have a chance to ask questions and discuss with neighbours.
A church is NOT an organization; rather, it is the most unique organism in the world – a living body; The Body of Christ. We have structure, and we make decisions together –and yet, we are a living organism, with the Spirit of Jesus as the head. That can be confusing sometimes, but it means that what you are part of is wonderfully unique. So you are a valued part of this Body – only God knows how essential and important your presence may be – for you, and for all of us. COME. Listen. Question. Discuss. Learn. Contribute. Enjoy. See you Thursday night.
