Watch & Talk: 1946 Movie

As an inclusive church with the value of justice, we have committed to our conviction that everyone, regardless of sexuality, orientation, or gender, is made in God’s image and worthy of respect and love. So what do we do with those passages in the Bible that seem to say otherwise? Join us as we watch the award winning documentary that “chronicles the discovery of never-before-seen archives at Yale University which unveil astonishing new revelations, and casts significant doubt on any biblical basis for LGBTQIA+ prejudice. Featuring commentary from prominent scholars as well as opposing pastors, including the personal stories of the film’s creators, 1946 is at once challenging, enlightening, and inspiring.” We’ll discuss our thoughts and questions after.
