the season of Lent
Lent is about learning to be human.
It’s about trusting in the truth that resurrection happens, and courageously entering into that never-ending process of becoming more and more human by putting down things that aren’t holy, leaving behind bad habits and false narratives, cultivating healthy souls and spirits, and striving towards healing, growth, and becoming more whole, knowing that God walks with us every step of the way.
Our tradition calls this repentance - the act of returning back to life - and that’s really what the season of Lent is all about.
We’re encouraging everyone to practice Lent over the next 40 days. What that looks like? Up to you.
An easy way to figure out that is ask: “what is pulling me out of life?”
We’ve got all kinds of things to help you on this journey to Easter: devotionals, playlists, special services, book club, and ways to serve.
Lent begins with Ash Wednesday - a service of remembering that to be human is to be a work in progress and ask for God’s grace and strength to help us move deeper into life. Join us for a simple and beautiful service of music, reflection, prayer, and the tradition of being marked by ashes.
Art, poetry, and music are big parts of our spirituality and we’re excited to offer you a daily Lent devotional full of reflections, art, and poetry to guide you in your own journey, and a Spotify playlist (curated by our friend Drew Brown) full of songs to set the mood for transformation and healing.
Hard copies of the devotional can be picked up at the church on Sundays, but otherwise click on the photos above to get reading and grooving as we journey thru Lent.

care package deliveries
If you’d like to practice service this Lent, help deliver some love and kindness to people in our community.
Our ability to help people feel seen, known and loved grows as we all invest in connections. We are organizing a special visit and lent delivery to our members who can no longer attend church.
We still need some help to drop off care packages in the neighbourhoods you live in.

stepping forward in faith
Stepping out in faith is a chance to explore what our faith and spirituality are all about and decide if you’d like to step out and make it a bigger part of your life through baptism.
So here's how you know if baptism is for you: 1) You're new to faith and want to make it a bigger part of your life. 2) Your faith has changed and you want to recommit to how you now understand it. 3) You feel God is doing some cool things in your life and you want to reaffirm your desire to follow Jesus. 4) You were baptized as a kid but want make it your own decision as an adult.
